I bought a Palm Pilot Z22 after careful research of the functions I needed. I didn't need to listen to music, since I already had a mp3 player . Watching a movie on something this small was a waste. I Already had a cell phone, that was till in mono color but was rugged, durable, allowed me to call and receive calls, and so all I needed a PDA to do for me, is keep a calendar, provide me a place to make a list, and allow me to scribble things down.
So I really liked this PDA, but this being taiwan, the moisture ate away at the screen cable, and it broke. So I set out to buy a new one, didn't sell them in Taiwan.. So I finally ordered one from the states. So this is my second one.
I gave my HTC PDA to my wife.

Of course aside from the calendar, the most useful program on the palm is DiddleBug . DiddleBug does what apMemo is to the PPC.
This is what Diddlebug looks like:

And it is just ridiculously useful. You can not believe the amount of stress you can alleviate with this one program. Most complain that it's not in color, but I don't really care. It allows me to write down what was in my brain before I forget, and that is worth its weight in gold.
Digital Camera on board? NO.
Cell Phone? NO.
Audio Out? NO.
GPS? NO.
Photo Album on board? Yes, but on a screen that small do you really want to view any photos?
RAM/ROM/Storage: 32 Megs, 24megs available to the user. Sounds so small when you come from the world if microsoft bloat, but honestly it's not designed to run Folding@Home, it's designed to store tidbits of info.
eBook Reader: Sort of.. You can download eReader, or MobiReader. I find that pdf's on this thing is nearly impossible to read, as you are zooming and scrolling all around. So stick to converted ebooks or Gutenburg Project books.
Ridiculously long battery life? YES.
A billion times easier controls than the PPC? YES.
It does what you need a pda to do, keep some info, keep a calendar, keep a todo, and jot down things on the top of your brain.
I'm all about utilitarianism..
