Considering PS3 as my new media center


I am seriously considering buying a PS3 as a new media center.  Now all I gotta do is figure out how to get it to play RMVB's and we are good to go..  


My wife thinks my 7 year old computer looks ugly as sin by the TV.  The Made in China, $29 DVD player is a POS when it comes to audio output.  I am hoping that the PS3 will not disappoint me.
